A new type of floor has arrived to the salon-store “Vilniaus Parketas” – woven bamboo lacquered parquet boards with dimensions of 915 x 96 x 14 mm and price of 30,12 Eur/m2. New boards have been made of interwoven and inter-glued bamboo strips at full width and differ from other bamboo floors by their lively weave of wavy “flutes”. A selection of natural and carbonized color parquet boards is available. Woven bamboo is a fairly new product in the global market of bamboo floor that has already been awarded with the best response from designers and floor owners. Differently from traditional bamboo floors that are made of small bamboo pieces inter-glued vertically or horizontally, woven bamboo is made of long thin interwoven and inter-glued “moso” bamboo strips. Bamboo floors made applying the above technique are characteristic of the best wooden floor performance: the woven bamboo floor is harder than floor glued in a vertical or horizontal direction as well as more stable and featured by larger density. |
| Woven bamboo floor is laid gluing it to the base and can be easily re-sanded and re-finished. Bamboo boards have been applied with 7 layers of German Treffert UV mat finish with aluminium oxide. A powerful board pressing system is applied in the manufacture of the boards, and strong-adhesion Finnish glue Dynea assures long life and hinders desegregation of the floor. The boards conform to quality and production ecology standards ISO9001, ISO14001 and SSELP, and the manufacturer is a member of INBAR and NWFA structures. |
